SALT PEOPLE,

a Greece within the Camargue

by Thomas Gayrard, 60 minutes

An encounter with the Greeks of the Camargue, descendants of the sponge divers of the island of Kalymnos, who came here to work the salt, through intimate testimonies, grandiose landscapes, scenes of life, archive footage and music from their home country. It’s the story of an immigrant and working-class France menaced of disappearance, told with a lot of poetry and humour.
